Going mobile

Hi everyone. Just experimenting with mobile blogging. Or as my children would have it - entering the 21st century. Even our local priest, who is YOUNGER than I (wow, I feel old) said I should get a better phone. For the last 15 years or so my phones have cost £10 - £15 maximum. So never let it be said I'm not cutting edge. Just be prepared for lots of mistakes in Some posts... Tally ho!

Thora and I: Kindred Spirits

I was disconcerted the other day to see the Google-generated ads on the side of my blog were promoting stair lifts.

Am I really getting that old that I have become the Thora Hird of the blogosphere? So it would seem.

Now for a nice pot of tea and some (Yorkshire) fat rascals!

Who is this shuffling, decrepit figure darkening my door? Ah! 'Tis Dotage. Welcome dear friend, I have felt your impending arrival for some time...

Back and (almost) Fighting Fit

Thanks to all friends and family for messages and cards received during my recent stay in hospital (hence the quiet period on my blog).

I am still recuperating, but normal service should be resumed shortly.

To Quote Penelope Pitstop

It's only been a relative few days, but this blog has yet to be picked up by Google and other search engines, meaning fellow Hurleys and other delinquents pottering on the net have little chance of finding my pearls of wisdom.

Anyone out there know of a way I can get this sorted? Or do I just wait for it to picked up by search-bots etc.?

As Penelope Pitstop said: Help.

Welcome to the Gareth Hurley Blog

I have started this blog for my ramblings, observations and similar.

Thanks for looking in.

If you'd be kind enough to link to this blog, bookmark it etc. I won't invite you round for tea, but I will be grateful.
